July 2, 2022, Saturday, Alpha Camera Club members’ troop to the south for the Club’s Anniversary celebration at Brick wood Café in Bacoor, Cavite. The simple yet happy celebration is well attended not only by its present members but also of some guests including founding member, Ka Lito Beltran, now 83 years old and yet still full of enthusiasm who lead the unveiling of the club’s newest project, Eat-See-Q, a photo book, along with Captain Manny Barradas, and assisted by members Sir Jun Santos and Ka Dewey Sergio. The book is a compilation of six-month photo activity of club members during the time of pandemic capturing images of traditional foods prepared, styled and plated for the purpose of celebrating its texture, color and arrangement that is both enticing to the eyes and the palate. Related to this, the club recognizes the top three stand-out photos and their photographer in the project as judge by the respected food photographer Sir Louie Aguinaldo; Bing Duay for his colourful and beautifully executed shoot of “Ginataan Bilo-Bilo,” Ka Dewey Sergio’s “Galunggong,” who still owes us his explanation for the magical picture and Jhing Montes' soothing picture of Fruit Juice that seems like taken out of the glossy magazine.
The event is a success as it draws lots of fun and surprises and new discoveries that leave everyone looking forward the next Club’s activity/project.
